The Beginner’s Mind
Being a beginner can be intimidating, often accompanied by the fear of judgment. However, starting something new, like yoga, is essential for personal growth. In yoga, greatness is a personal journey, measured only against oneself. Common doubts such as not being flexible or strong enough are valid, but they shouldn’t prevent you from starting.
Cycles and Seasons
In essence, yoga invites practitioners to cultivate awareness of the cyclical nature of existence and to align their lives with the rhythms. By embracing these cycles with mindfulness and equanimity, individuals can cultivate a deeper sense of connection, purpose, and inner harmony, let’s go 💥
Deepening Practice
To my surprise, as soon as my training began, I discovered that yoga is SO. MUCH. MORE. than mere physical poses on a rectangular mat. 🤯 Poses were the gateway drug to the entirety of the practice for me. The physical practice can foster strength, resilience, test your patience, unveil your patterns of self-talk, self-compassion, not to mention self-judgment. Though I sensed there was a deeper reason why I was drawn to yoga beyond the physical aspect, I wasn’t sure how to articulate it beyond, “it makes me feel good.”
The longest relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself.

Feels counterintuitive, right? Honestly, nothing feels more like a struggle than attempting to get still or slow down when you sense the urgency to keep producing, creating, and building more, more, more! Here are a few practices to help you slow down in order to speed up.
